We are pleased to share that the Hospital Authority (HA) Newborn Screening Programme for inborn errors of metabolism is now available for eligible babies born at Matilda International Hospital.

Hospital Authority Newborn Screening Programme Now Available at Matilda International Hospital

This public health initiative screens for 30 Inborn Errors of Metabolism (IEM), Severe Combined Immunodeficiency (SCID), and Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). The laboratory analysis is provided free of charge by the HA for infants with at least one parent who is a Hong Kong resident. To facilitate this service, a nominal administrative fee of HK$400 applies.
