COVID-19 virus Preventative Measures

Please be aware that we will not accept patients or visitors who:

If you have been living with someone in compulsory quarantine a COVID-19 test will be required pre-admission.

A booking is required for consultation at Matilda Medical Centre in Central.

We follow the Centre for Health Protection (CHP) guidelines with strict triage, visitors and patients must:

Under Cap 599D, it is an offence to state false/misleading information to a medical practitioner.

8am to 8pm - Outpatient Department
8pm to 8am - Ground Floor Main Reception


Visiting arrangements


Classes and tours

Hospital tours are suspended until further notice. A maternity virtual tour and meet the midwife online sessions are available in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. Contact us to enquire at 2849 0111 or info@matilda.org.

Private home antenatal classes are now offered in Cantonese and English. Please call 2849 0321 or email maternity@matilda.org to enquire or make a booking.

Child care course (for domestic helper) will resume in June.

Other classes remain suspended and will gradually resume with preventive measures.


Centre for Health Protection Notification

The hospital is required to notify all cases to the CHP who present with fever, acute respiratory illness, pneumonia or diarrhoea and have travelled to a place with active community transmission of COVID-19 or had close contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19 in the last 14 days. These cases will be transferred to designated public hospitals for further clinical management.
