    Tympanoplasty (Myringoplasty) Package

    BUN-ETYM, BUN-ETYME

A surgical procedure to repair a perforated eardrum and restore hearing. A graft from the muscle near the ear is taken to repair the hole in the ear drum. It may also involve reconstructing the small bones of the middle ear to improve sound conduction.

This procedure is typically recommended for individuals suffering from chronic ear infections, hearing loss, or discomfort due to a perforated eardrum. By closing the perforation, tympanoplasty helps reduce the risk of recurrent ear infections, improves hearing, and restores the ear's natural protective barrier. The surgery is performed under general anaesthesia.
