    BUN-TURP

    Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) is a minimally invasive surgical procedure to treat prostate enlargement (benign prostatic hyperplasia, BPH) or prostate cancer. The procedure requires no external incision, as a resectoscope is used to access the prostate through the urethra. The surgeon removes part or all of the prostate tissue that restricts the flow of urine, effectively relieving symptoms such as difficulty in urination or frequent urination.
