A procedure to repair a hernia in the groin area, which occurs when tissue pushes through a weak spot in the abdominal muscles. It can be performed with an open or laparoscopic approach. During the procedure, the surgeon will place the hernia content back into the abdominal cavity, remove the hernia sac, and close the hernia defect. A piece of meshed synthetic material may be used to strengthen the weakened groin muscles。
This procedure helps prevent cancer spread and alleviate symptoms. Post-operative care includes pain management and dietary adjustments. Most patients resume normal activities within weeks, though full recovery may take longer.
