    Birmingham Hip Resurfacing (BHR) is an advanced procedure for younger, active patients with arthritis-related hip pain. It preserves more natural bone by capping the femoral head with a smooth metal surface, offering lasting pain relief, restored mobility, and a return to dynamic lifestyles.

    The procedure is performed under general or regional anesthesia, involving a precise incision on the side of the leg. The tendons of the muscles surrounding the hip are carefully cut to expose and dislocate the hip joint. The arthritic joint and a thin layer of bone are then removed and replaced with a durable metal ""ball and socket,"" followed by the repair of the tendons. 

    This package encompasses pre-operative consultation, imaging, lab test, surgery, implants and post-operative care to ensure a smooth and effective recovery process. Most patients can walk with crutches on the same day and are typically discharged within a few days.
