The online check in will ensure an efficient admission on the day you come in when you will have more immediate things on your mind. Once all the information has been cross-checked we will reply to your email account with a confirmation.
Please read through the proceeding pages of need-to-know admission information . Please also note that, in this online check-in, we will not ask for patient’s payment details (e.g. credit card number, or bank account number).

You must provide a valid HKID/Passport at admission to comply with legal requirements by the Department of Health for safe administration of drugs and treatment.
If your child is being admitted, a valid identity card or passport (or your child's birth certificate if they do not yet have an ID card or passport) is needed as a legal requirement.
For maternity care, the father's identity card or passport is also required.
Patients admitted without an ID will not be treated or have surgery performed at this Hospital until a valid ID is produced. So please ensure you have it with you to prevent delays.
Matilda International Hospital (MIH) has agreements with most insurance companies in Hong Kong and many international insurers. Below are some important guide notes for patients who will pay through insurance:
A deposit is required upon admission (A minimum of HK$20,000 or 50% of the estimate total charges, whichever is higher).
The hospital accepts payment by EPS, credit card (Visa Card, Master Card, American Express, China Union Pay) or cash in Hong Kong dollars.
If you are hospitalized for more than one week you will be billed on a weekly basis.
Please inform the nurse at least one hour prior to your planned discharge to ensure the bill is complete and prevent billing delays.
All accounts must be settled before discharge or payment arrangement guaranteed by insurance companies.
Extra charges will be incurred for:
If discharged out of office hours you will be required to sign a blank credit card voucher. Our staff will contact you with the amount before charging to the card.
To avoid billing errors you must inform us on admission should you be entitled to any special rate.
Should you require a copy of your medical notes, a fee will be charged and 5 working days is required to process from the day payment is received.

All doctors are private practitioners practising independently of the hospital and its administration. Doctors’ fees may vary from one doctor to another and they usually charge according to your room category. It is in your best interest to discuss the expected charges with your doctors ahead of time. The hospital only collects doctors’ fees on their behalf.
ROOM CATEGORY AND CHARGES
Private Rooms, Twin Rooms and Standard Rooms are available.
All ancillary charges (e.g. drugs & consumables, laboratory tests, X-ray and procedures etc) and doctors fees vary according to the room category.
Meals are excluded from the room rate and will be charged according to the food items ordered.
The full day rate is charged for the day of admission. There is no charge for the day of departure
if check-out is before 11:30am. After 11:30am, there will be an additional charge.
48 hours notice is required to change room category following non-packaged surgery.
Isolation rooms are allocated on written instruction from the doctor for clinical indications only.
This will result in additional accommodation charges.
Private room refers to any category of room with single occupancy and is available on a first-come-first-served basis (or with Maternity patients, first-delivered-first-served basis). On occasions whereby all single occupancy rooms have been occupied, patients with private room preference will be requested to share a room until single occupancy can be arranged.
A lodger is only permitted to stay in private rooms or with paediatric patients in our care.
While we make every effort to provide you with the room category you requested, the nature of
maternity services means it cannot be guaranteed. Should your booked room category not be available,
you may choose a different available room. The published room category rate will apply.
A range of packages is offered at predetermined prices to cover the most frequently performed procedures.
Packages include all nursing care, room and meal charges and treatment normally associated with the procedure as stated within the package.They do not include doctors' fees.
Once a package has commenced, it cannot be down graded. However, if upgraded, the entire package will be
charged at the higher rate.

There is no refund on packages for early discharge. Maternity packages commence on the day the baby is born. For procedures that are not packaged we will be happy to provide an estimate, please send your request to
