Key Responsibilities
To oversee departmental operation and drive a team of technical staff in managing, executing, evaluating corrective / preventive / new maintenance projects in full spectrum of building services, i.e. mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, fire services, plumbing / drainage, safety / security, and other related areas
To strategize and allocate among internal / external resources according to skill mix, operation needs, time and cost efficiency, etc. for effective management of repair, maintenance, new projects within tight schedules and given constraints while minimizing disruption to service delivery
To collaborate with different departments, contractors, statutory / professional bodies, etc. in ensuring timeliness, work quality, safety security, environmental performance, risk management and audit / accreditation preparation in compliance with statutory, professional, audit and accreditation requirements throughout different project stages
To conduct / facilitate internal training in various areas of departmental operation, e.g. work processes, policies and procedures, workmanship, technical problem-solving, record keeping documentation, budgeting, contractor / tender management, filing and documentation, etc.
Entry Requirements
Diploma or above in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline with valid certifications
Min. 8 solid years in related positions with site supervisory experience, preferably gained in hospitals / hotels
Practical experience in project, contract, tender and departmental management
Conversant with local building services related legislations and government procedures
Candidates with less experience may be considered for other appropriate position
