To make maternity booking more convenient, Matilda International Hospital has waived the deposit for booking a maternity bed for all maternity patients, effective 1 January 2017.
“For couples, planning the arrival of a baby and becoming a new family is an exciting journey with many things to consider. By simplifying the booking process and offering complete packages that are transparent and easy to work out, we can help couples better prepare for their unique delivery experience,” said Ms Linda Burgoyne, CEO of Matilda International Hospital.
Apart from waiving the maternity booking deposit and listing maternity packages on the website, the hospital has introduced a maternity price calculator online that enables couples to easily obtain a price estimate of the hospital charges.
The number of child births in Hong Kong has stabilized in recent years after the big drop in 2013. According to the data from the Census and Statistics Department, around 62,300 and 59,900 babies were born in 2014 and 2015 respectively in Hong Kong. “At Matilda, we delivered 8% more babies in 2016 compared to 2015 and anticipate the overall demand for delivery services in Hong Kong will remain stable in 2017.” Linda added.
Maternity prices remain unchanged in 2017 and retain the increased package coverage introduced in 2016. Hospital prices for 2 night normal deliveries in a shared room start from HKD19,500.
