Pregnant ladies will benefit from exercising, which will help prevent or relieve joint and back pain, as well as improve strength to cope with changes to the body during pregnancy. The Physiotherapy Department at Matilda International Hospital runs a series of Pilates classes, including antenatal Pilates. These classes, conducted by registered physiotherapists, include stretching, gentle strengthening, core muscle work, and relaxation through breathing control.
