Antenatal Class Educators (Part time)

We are looking for a part time educator to facilitate antenatal, and/or childcare classes that are held at Matilda International Hospital at the Peak and/or at the Matilda Medical Centre in Central and Tsim Sha Tsui. The incumbent will report to and work with the Health Education Manager.

Requirements

• Must be a registered maternity nurse or midwife.  Holders of dependent visas will also be considered.
• Must have experience in working on maternity wards, and be able to deliver, in English, precise and updated information on the later stages of pregnancy.  The educator needs to enjoy engaging with people, and be able to communicate well with clients and with the hospital’s  staff.
• Possess a good command of written and spoken English
• The person needs to be reliable, organized, and be able to work independently.
• Must be able to work on flexible hours for two to six hours one to two evenings per week and/or Saturday mornings when there are classes running.

Job description

• Teach classes on antenatal and child care. (Hospital-vetted teaching aids will be provided)
• Lead tours on the maternity ward
• Work closely with the Health Education Manager to ensure the provision of consistent,  current, evidence- based information, curriculum and teaching materials.
