The Matilda Charities

The Matilda Bazaar and Sedan Chair Race is held annually to help raise money for local (Hong Kong) charities. Since the first race in 1975, the race and bazaar have helped to raise over HK$61 million. The Child Development Centre is a non-profit making organisation at Matilda providing integrated education for children with learning difficulties from multinational English speaking families.

The only English speaking facility of its kind in Hong Kong, the centre provides education and intervention for children from birth to six years of age. Children with learning difficulties are integrated with their peers in an environment devoted to learning through play and are supported in their learning by a multidisciplinary team.

The centre is also a resource for parents and others involved in the education and care of infants and young children.
