Early Diagnostic and Imaging Centre
The early diagnostic and imaging centre at MIH uses digitised networking offering some of the most advanced equipment in the world. Diagnostic imaging equipment plays an important role in our commitment to health promotion, illness prevention, education and early diagnosis.
X-ray
General X-ray such as chest, abdomen, spine, head etc.
Specialist services such as tomogram, barium meal, HSG, venogram, sinogram, fistulogram, retrograde systogram etc.
Electron Beam Computed Tomography (EBCT) Scanner
Capable of performing routine CT scanning on all body parts however, due to its ultra fast capabilities it is F.D.A approved for coronary artery calcuim scoring, low-dose lung scanning, Electron Beam Angiography (EBA) and Electron Beam Colonography. Also excellent for sleep apnoea studies.
Mammography
Including sterotactic needle procedures, X-ray guided biopsy and localization ductogram.
Echocardiogram
Uses an ultrasound to measure the blood flow through the heart.
Ultrasound
Our ultrasound units have features that allow a broad range of examinations, including those involving blood flow, colour dopler (e.g. neonatoal brain) abdomen, carotid, fine needle aspiration and prostate biopsy.
DEXA Bone Densitometry
(Dual Energy X-ray Absorption)
A bone mineral density exam to assist in diagnosing osteoporosis. A full body scan is also available for detailing fat distribution.
