Matilda International Hospital (MIH) has five well-equipped and ultra-clean operating theatres (OT). The OT Department is staffed, and managed, by a team of qualified, experienced, and caring, surgical professionals, who work seamlessly with top-class specialist surgeons in Hong Kong.

To keep MIH at the peak of worldwide surgical advances, we diligently invest in medical equipment and facilities.  These tools will enable our specialists to use the most advanced evidence-based treatment options for patients, who may, in turn, benefit from faster recovery afforded by these sophisticated treatments.

Latest acquisitions by MIH included the launch in 2010 of “OT5” one of MIH’s five operating theatres (OT).  OT5 remains Hong Kong’s first OT to feature a blue-light environment and most of the key components of the state-of-the-art EndoAlpha OT surgical suite system developed by Olympus of Germany.

MIH is currently redeveloping OT3, which promises to be yet another milestone in operating suite development in Hong Kong. OT3 is scheduled for a 2011 commissioning.

The purchase of Hong Kong’s first and only hana-™operating table is another of MIH’s ongoing commitment to incorporate technological breakthroughs to take surgical processes to the next level.
