Matilda International Hospital presents family workshops at Easter
Full-filled activities stimulate learning on wellness

Experience what it feels like to be a pregnant dad. Let your child take a course on how to give a baby massage.  Transform a plain first aid triangle bandage into a vibrant accessory and win a prize. Yes, all this and more on 22 and 23 April 2011, at Matilda International Hospital (MIH)’s activity booth (Booth no 6) at the 5th Discovery Bay Easter Egg Hunt Event, where the whole family can enjoy two fun days out, and learn more about wellness through unique activities.

MIH’s participation in the two-day event aims to stimulate creativity, generate awareness on the importance of first aid and give everyone an opportunity to have a “pregnancy experience”. Admission is free.

Decorate Your Bandage Competition
On 22 April, MIH will present “Decorate Your Bandage Competition” for children aged three to 10 years old (Group A: three to five years old; Group B: six to 10 years old). With the use of colouring pens, stickers and tinsels, participants can add bright patterns and colours to a plain triangle bandage, and show off their creativity by wearing the decorated bandage on the arm. The happy moment will be captured on camera, and the photos will be used by the judges to select the winners. The winner of each group will have a chance to win a prize and a voucher for a free paediatric first aid class (worth $1,800.)

Experience Being Pregnant & Baby Massage Workshops
On 23 April, men and children can have an opportunity to experience what the expectant spouse / mother is going through by wearing a specially designed vest that mimics the weight a pregnant woman carries around. Additionally, three baby massage workshops will also be held for children aged four to 10 years old. A certified infant massage instructor will show children how to do a leg massage on a baby doll, and learn how to care for their new siblings.

There is also “The Wheel of Wellness” game, through which all visitors can try their luck and win medical service vouchers and prizes, and at the same time, learn more about the medical services offered by the Matilda Medical Centre in Central.
